CMC Foundation Healthcare Scholarships:
No matter what shape health care takes in the future, there will always be a need for people who provide skilled and compassionate care. CMC Foundation and our scholarship donors are dedicated to helping the students who will be tomorrow's caring health professionals. Each year we award scholarships of $500-$1000 to Missoula County high school students and Community Medical Center employees interested in healthcare careers. Since our Healthcare Scholarship program began in 1990, we have awarded more than 400 scholarships for a total of $220,000.

Downloadable, printable applications are available online, below.  Print the application for the scholarship you wish to apply for, type in your information, and mail it with the required attachments to the CMC Foundation, 2827 Fort Missoula Rd., Missoula, MT  59804.  You can also fill the appropriate information into the spaces next to each question while viewing the document with the Adobe Acrobat reader, and THEN print the application and mail it to us.

The deadline for 2010 scholarship applications has passed, but the application forms are included here for your review as you consider your 2011 application (deadline, March 2011).  If you have questions on the application or scholarship process, please call the CMC Foundation office at 406-327-4141.

In choosing Healthcare scholarship recipients we look at:

  • academic performance
  • involvement in well-rounded activities
  • intention to pursue a career in a medical or healthcare career
  • personal motivation

Each year we select students with a wide variety of interests and health career goals. Past recipients have pursued education or training in areas such as pharmacy, phlebotomy, recreation therapy, nursing and pre-medicine programs. 

Help Us Provide Healthcare Scholarships: 
These scholarships are awarded to students from throughout Missoula County and employees of Community Medical Center.  Your gift helps to ensure caring and qualified medical practitioners for our community. You may name a scholarship for a tax-deductible contribution of $500, $750 or $1,000.  Gifts of any size are also weclomed to our General Scholarship Fund.  An endowed scholarship can be established for $10,000-$25,000 or more, depending on your goal for the scholarship award.
