The Montana Heart Center provides a comprehensive program to assess your risk and gives you the power to be proactive by managing your areas of risk to lower your score. The American Heart Association recommends regular screening for heart disease risk should begin at age 20. The Montana Heart Center screening program promotes early detection and education by offering the screenings listed below in one easily scheduled visit.
- Diagnostic 12 lead EKG
- Lab profile to include: total cholesterol, HDL, triglycerides and hemoglobin A1c (3 month average glucose)
- Cardiac Risk Score
- Blood Pressure
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Consultation with a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiology
- Ankle – Brachial Pressure Index (ABI) to assess peripheral vascular disease (if indicated)
