Injectables

For some people, the best way to improve the shape or skin surface of their face doesn’t involve surgery. Instead, substances called injectables can accomplish these changes.

One of these injectable products may be right for you:

Botox. This purified protein is made from botulinum toxin. Doctors use it in small doses to temporarily improve or eliminate crow’s feet, forehead creases and frown lines. It is FDA approved for these cosmetic procedures.

Cosmetic fillers. These products can smooth wrinkles and fill in lines such as the nasolabial folds that run from your nose to the corners of your mouth. They also plump thin lips and fill in cheeks that seem hollow after fat loss. Most cosmetic fillers are temporary, such as those made from hyraluronic acid, which is eventually absorbed.

At Community Physicians Group Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Marshall will discuss Botox and cosmetic fillers with you and recommend the best procedure to achieve your goals.
