About Us
Community Medical Center is a leading healthcare system in Western Montana with a longstanding tradition of providing personalized care close to home—offering adult and pediatric treatments and technology combined with medical specialties and certifications often only available in major cities.
Community Medical Center is a health system located in Missoula with a county population of 120,000. Our adult and pediatric speciality services are provided to people across Western Montana.
Our pediatric service line, Community Children's, leads the state in pediatric medicine offering pediatric specialities that would normally require a trip to Seattle, Denver or Salt Lake City. We also maintain close collaboration with Seattle Children's who sends pediatric specialists to our campus each month so Montana kids don't have to travel out of state to see a pediatric specialist.
Community Medical Center partners with Life Flight Network, Missoula Emergency Services as well as area critical access hospitals to transport patients from across Western Montana. We also provide a dedicated NICU Flight / Transport Team to attend high risk deliveries and transport newborns in need of critical care to our Level IIIb NICU.
We are also proud to be teaching hospital that provides medical education and training to future and current health professionals. We partner with The Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana & the University of Montana School of Pharmacy to offer residency programs, and work with schools for offer clinical rotations, internships and job shadowing to prepare students for a career in medicine.

Education & Professional Development
We offer tuition assistance to help employees pursue professional development. Employees have access to Western Governor's University & the University of Phoenix's continuing education programs. All full-time employees are eligible for tuition assistance (pro-rated for part-time employees). And we offer specialized, evidenced-based adult and pediatric continuing education opportunities, so that we can ensure our care teams are up-to-date on the latest techniques and treatments.
Missoula, Montana
Missoula’s abundance of recreational opportunities allows residents to live the quintessential Rocky Mountain lifestyle. Three major rivers run through the area. Within an hour’s drive, there are several major lakes and blue-ribbon trout streams, making the region a haven for kayaking, rafting, fishing and boating. Just a stone’s throw from town, there are thousands of acres of public land and hundreds of miles of trails to explore. In the winter months, the days may grow shorter, but the list of things to do does not. Five downhill ski resorts are within striking distance as well as cross country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling.
