Nurse Fellowship Program
Nurses employed by critical access hospitals participating in this program will gain experience in Level II and Level III NICU care; Labor and Delivery; Obstetrics and be able to take these skills back to your facility to optimize the care of newborns and mothers in their community. The program will be tailored to the individual’s experience and needs.
A business affiliation agreement between Community Medical Center and the critical access hospital where you are employed needs to be in place to participate in the educational rotations for the Registered Nurse Fellowship. Please contact us as soon as possible to ensure an agreement is current and in place well in advance of an educational experience. This cannot be done by the individual departments and must be approved by the Community Medical Center Education Department.

Background Check - Participants will need to fill out out a background check form in case we need to get a copy of the background check for an audit or submit a copy of the background check with the Background Release Form. In some cases, the fellowship program may not provide a background check for residents. If this is the case, the resident will be responsible for providing a criminal background check https://doj.egovmt.com/choprs/ along with exclusion list checks from the national sexual offender registry search. Check with the education department to see if this is your responsibility. This will help to avoid delays in starting your resident experience at Community Medical Center.
