Michelle Christopher, RN Awarded Daisy Award

December 03, 2021

Michelle Christopher, RN from the Women & Newborns Unit was recently awarded the Daisy Award. She was nominated by a patient.

“I had a super rough pregnancy and had to give birth at 34 weeks and 6 days and had a tubal after. Michelle went above and beyond in every way. Not only did she make me laugh through this trialing time, she remembered when I hadn't eaten or drunk anything and always made sure to make time to answer all my questions and took time to comfort me when I wasn't sure what my body was doing. Michelle also took an additional step to help me get approval to stay the weekend with my new NICU son so I could spend a few days figuring out rides and time to visit while he adjusts to the outside. She has been an absolute god-send and I am so grateful.”

Michelle receives reduced tuition to advance her nursing career if she chooses, a reduced rate to renew her nursing certification, a medical mission grant, and a coveted parking spot at the hospital.
