Greg Cook has been named its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective November 25. He joins Community Medical Center from Castleview Hospital, a Lifepoint facility in Utah, where he has served as CEO since 2018.
“We are pleased to share that Greg will be leading our Community Medical Center team,” said Jen Alderfer, president of Lifepoint Health’s Western Division, of which Castleview and Community hospitals are a part. “Greg is a proven leader whose strategic thinking, team building, community engagement and commitment to quality and patient safety will serve our team in Missoula well.”
Prior to serving as CEO at Castleview, Cook served as the hospital's chief financial officer. A seasoned administrator with more than twenty years of experience, Greg has also held leadership roles at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah and Lifepoint hospitals in Kentucky. Greg holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah and is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS).
“We are excited to welcome Greg to the Missoula community and look forward to working with him to continue to drive the positive momentum we have seen at Community Medical Center as we expand the ways we serve this region,” said Sandy Shepherd, MD, family medicine & obstetrics physician and board chair for Community Medical Center. “Greg’s relentless focus on patient experience and quality care outcomes, as well as employee and community engagement, make him the right leader to guide Community into our next chapter.”
“I am honored to join the team at Community Medical Center and the Missoula community,” said Cook. “I know this is a high-performing and talented team that is consistently raising the bar as they deliver quality care to patients, and I look forward to partnering with them as we work together to advance our mission of making communities healthier.”
